I was one of the many honored to work with you as a professional, one who often had to deliver news to families that their child may not progress past a 2nd grade reading level or comprehend social norms. You never delivered the news, you shared it with the families, sat with them in the information, sat through steps of the grief process with them. And then when their child hit a tiny milestone, you celebrated that with them. You see, not all LSSPs have this God given empathy, yet you did. Because God knew that some day you would be caring for and raising a basketball team full of individuals with varying personalities, skills and abilities. You are a blessing.
